FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. I registered in the Fall, do I need to register in the Spring too?
No, if you registered Fall 2017, you are already registered for the Spring 2018 season.  Fall registration cost includes the Spring Season.

 

2. I am already registered but I want a jersey, can I purchase a jersey without re-registering? We have jersey orders open during registration.  Jerseys can also be purchased at "Game On Sports", 241 Pauline Drive, York PA  17402. 

  • Click "Uniform Store" on the left
  • Click "Jerseys"
  • Select the picture of the jerseys
  • Select your size and quanity, and click "Add to cart"
  • Once you are ready, click "Checkout Now"
  • Please select "Free" under Ship My Order By

For orders placed online, we will let you know when your order is ready for pick up at Game On Sports.  

 

3. How do I register my child?
Click Log In in the upper right hand corner.  If you are new, click "Create a new Bonzi account" and create an account.  If you already have an account from previously registering, click "Sign In With a Bonzi Account".  Click "register now" and complete the registration for players.

 

4. I would like to coach, how do I do that?
You can register as a Coach.  Click Log In in the upper right hand corner.  If you are new, click "Create a new Bonzi account" and create an account.  If you already have an account from previously registering, click "Sign In With a Bonzi Account".  Click "register now" and complete the registration for Coaches.

 

5. I would like my child to play in a different age group than the birth dates are listed, can I do that?
Children may not play down.  With permission from the league, your child may play up though.  In the request portion of the registration, enter that you would like your child to play up a division.  You will be notified by the appropriate Commissioner if/when your request has been accepted.  

 

6. What equipment does my child need?
Your child needs a jersey and shin guards.  Cleats are recommended and preferred but are optional.  If players do not wear cleats, they MUST wear sneakers.  NO open-toed shoes and NO jewelry (this is for player safety).  Players are permitted to wear prescription glasses only.  Hats are recommended on colder days.  Sweatshirt/jacket hoods must be down (this is for player safety). 

 

7. How do I contact a board member?
Click Board Members, then Contact a Board Member on the left hand side of the website.  Please allow 24 hours for a response as our Board Members are volunteers. 

 

8. Will I receive daily field updates?
No, we will only update our website and facebook page if the fields are closed or have special circumstances (i.e. no cleats, weather, etc.).  If the fields are OPEN, there will be no update.  

 

9. Are there ways to volunteer in the league outside of coaching?
Yes, we are always looking for help with tournaments, other events, and sometimes general help on the board.  If you are interested in donating your time to the fantastic players and families of York Youth Soccer League, please contact the YYSL President and/or Vice President.  Everyone is welcome, together we make a difference. 

 

10. How often do the children practice?  When are the practices? When are games?
Children will practice once a week with some teams practicing twice a week (this is Coaches preference and availability).  Practice days are selected by the Coach and based on field availability.  Games are played on Saturdays.
